Seasons

Our family delights in keeping record of when we hear the first sights and sounds of each new season. We've seen the geese return, the buds on the trees, and the bluebirds. At the beginning of March, we heard to first red-winged black bird. The geese have paired up. I've seen the robins, skunks, and woodchucks. Each evening after the busy sounds of the day have quieted, I listen to the spring peepers. Today was our annual walk down the road to pick up the litter that has accumulated over the past year. Next up is our annual trip to Conesus Lake to watch for the fish spawning. Seasons have a reassuring rhythm when our world can feel unstable. Take time to enjoy spring!
